Reviews for THE MELD
Review highlights
Based on 126 reviewsReviews for THE MELD commonly highlight its cozy and inviting ambiance paired with attentive and friendly service, creating a warm dining experience. The restaurant’s Western-style dishes, particularly their meat selections such as pork and chicken chops, are often praised for tenderness and seasoning. However, some guests note inconsistencies in food quality and pacing—meals are occasionally served too quickly, and flavors could be more enhanced to justify the price point. The use of creative side dishes and a good wine selection also receive positive mentions. Overall, patrons appreciate the inviting atmosphere and helpful staff, though there is room for improvement in culinary execution and timing.
You can choose your meat for them to cook. Had a salad as a starter, and before we had a bite, the main course was already being served - far too quickly to my liking. Taste was okay but could have been better. - and more heat in it. I'm not sure why it's served with (cold) edemame.... garlic was very nice. Staff was helpful and had a good bottle of red wine.
Our second visit here during Father’s Day celebration. No reservation, was turned down by the waiters and waitresses as we did not do any reservation. But the boss gave green light as long we were able to finish before the next reservation time. No problem for us as long they can serve us the food in no time. Love the ambience and vibe. My kids love their nachos with bolognese sauce. If we mention that, they know where we are heading. This time round we ordered the carbonara, Hokkaido scallop, New Zealand lamb chop, smoked salmon salad and not to forget our favourite Nachos with Bolognese sauce. We finished fervently, added on chocolate moist cake. Everyone was happy in the end. A win-win situation.
During our first dinner here, we ordered the pork chops and chicken chops. The pork chops were incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The chicken chops were equally delightful—crispy on the outside, with moist and tender meat inside. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance, and the staff provided warm, attentive service throughout our meal.
The highlight was the garlic. Overall was a pretty average experience. Felt like it could have been better at this price point.
Absolutely loved this place! The food was incredible, with each dish bursting with flavor. The service was top-notch, attentive, and friendly. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. Will definitely be back for more. 5/5 stars!
